Tikdum ("we", "us", "our") operates a local services marketplace that connects customers with independent service providers for home services such as AC repair, cleaning, and salon services. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly, information generated by using the service, and information from your device.
- Account information — name, phone number, email address, and profile photo.
- Location — your address or device location, used to show nearby providers and enable accurate service dispatch.
- Booking and service data — services booked, appointment times, booking status, messages exchanged with a provider or customer, and reviews/ratings you submit.
- Payment and transaction records — booking amounts and payment status, to process and track your orders. We do not store full card numbers ourselves.
- Device and push notification data — a push subscription token so we can send you booking updates and announcements even when the app isn't open, plus basic device/browser information.
- Service provider details (Tikdum Business users only) — business name, category, years of experience, service area, GST number where applicable, and identity/verification documents submitted for approval.
2. How We Use Information
- To connect customers with nearby, relevant service providers and process bookings.
- To send booking confirmations, status updates, and service-related notifications.
- To send occasional announcements or offers from Tikdum, where permitted.
- To verify service provider identity and maintain trust and safety on the platform.
- To improve our services, prevent fraud, and resolve disputes or complaints.
3. Push Notifications
If you allow notifications, we store a device-specific push subscription so we can deliver booking updates and announcements directly to your device. You can withdraw this permission at any time from your device or browser notification settings; doing so stops future push delivery but does not affect your account.
4. Sharing of Information
We share the minimum information necessary to fulfill a booking — for example, a customer's address and contact number are shared with the assigned service provider, and a provider's name, rating, and contact details are shown to the customer. We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We may share information with service providers who help us operate the platform (such as hosting and messaging infrastructure), or where required by law.
5. Data Retention
We retain account and booking data for as long as your account is active and as needed to comply with legal, accounting, or dispute-resolution obligations. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time.
If you ask for a login code but don't finish signing in or signing up, we keep that phone number and the time of the attempt for up to 90 days so our team can help you if something went wrong. When you delete your account, we ask why you are leaving. Your reason is kept without your personal details. We keep your name and phone number with it only if you tick the box that lets us contact you about your feedback; you can leave it unticked.
6. Your Rights
You can delete your account yourself in the app (Profile → Delete account) or see how to request deletion. You can also access, correct, or request deletion of your personal information by contacting us at support@tikdum.com. You can also update most profile details directly within the app.
7. Children's Privacy
Tikdum is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date above.
